Cayce Howe

Cayce Howe has 25 years of meditation experience in a variety of traditions but he feels the strongest ties with the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. His passion for meditation has led him to live and work at mediation retreat centers for nearly 6 years. He completed a one-year meditation retreat in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition in 2008. After experiencing a powerful lesson in compassion and the power of mindfulness, in the form of caregiving for a loved one in chronic pain for over 7 years, he decided to devote himself to help others cope with suffering using meditation.

Cayce teaches Basics of Mindfulness, Buddha's Path, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and intermediate classes for InsightLA. He also leads the InsightLA Long Beach Sunday Sitting Group.

Gretchen Karma

Gretchen Karma teaches a variety of styles including hatha, vinyasa flow, restorative, Kundalini, and even kids yoga! Her fun, light-hearted classes are based on mindfulness and giving loving attention to your Self, while giving the body exactly what it needs. Gretchen first got into yoga to get in shape while pursuing modeling. Since realizing the profound affect of yoga in her life, she developed a passion for yoga she LOVES to share!

Gretchen was trained in classical Hatha yoga at Sivananda Yoga Ashram, and has since deepened her knowledge over the years having pursued training in Kundalini, Ashtanga Vinyasa, and therapeutic/restorative styles of movement such as Feldenkrais, and Pilates. She has also developed a sound healing practice she adds to her popular restorative yoga classes, with her relaxing singing bowls and chimes.
