Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word for “connection.” Vinyasa yoga connects the movements of the body with the inhale and exhale of each breath. There are simple vinyasas, such as Cat-Cow, which simply involve two separate movements that coordinate with the inhale and exhale of the breath. There are also more complicated vinyasas which involve a dozen different movements which are also coordinated with the inhale and exhale of each breath. The most famous of this type of vinyasa is known as the Sun Salutation.   Back to teacher training page
